Old Town Carnival week takes place from Saturday 3rd August - Sunday 11th August
A week of exciting events from Pram Racing to Treasure Trails, Open Houses to Walking Tours, Art Shows to Historical Talks, Live Music, Street Parties, all culminating in a Grand Carnival Procession.
Old Town Carnival Week started in 1968, gradually increasing in popularity until the present day. Organised by volunteers and supporting numerous local charities, Hastings Old Town Carnival week has become a fun week for visitor and locals alike.

Now in its third year, the theme for Hastings Pride 2019 is heroes. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our differences, to fight against oppression and discrimination and for a society where we all stand together as equals creating a brighter future and giving us back the hope of a better tomorrow.
1066 Cycling Festival
19th September - 20th September 2020
The fifth 1066 Cycling Festival will take place on Saturday 19 September between the Pier and the Source Park in Hastings, and Sunday 20 September on the Metropole Lawns by the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.
Hastings Seafood & Wine Festival
19th - 20th September 2020
Indulge in a mouth-watering weekend of delicious seafood and luscious wines at this spectacular festival.
The festival site and the marquees on The Stade by the historic Net Huts showcase a range of food, wine and themed activities to tempt everyone from wine connoisseurs and seafood sophisticates to those who just enjoy trying something different.
Superb live music and street entertainment completes the lively festival atmosphere, making this an unmissable event. The festival is centered around The Stade and Rock-a-Nore Road in the heart of the Old Town, although business across the whole of Hastings join in with special menus and entertainment.

Meet at 2.30 pm (except where noted), at the TOP of the West Hill lift – the Upper Station TN34 3RD . (lower lift entrance is at the West end of George Street) PLEASE NOTE HASTINGS HAS TWO LIFTS SO ENSURE YOU ARE AT THE TOP OF THE LIFT WHERE HASTINGS CASTLE IS.
All Old Hastings Preservation Society [OHPS] walks are free, no pre-booking or tickets required but donations are welcomed.
Join us for a tour of Hastings Old Town, the premier ancient Cinque Port, with its wealth of historic buildings, twittens and cat-creeps. Find out why the celebrities of their day flocked to Hastings.
Old Hastings Preservation Society experienced volunteer guides lead all walks, which proceed gently downhill, but there are steps. Allow 2 hours. The walks are FREE, but please donate to the OHPS.
